unklar #044 follows more than a single story. Whether science fiction, plain reality, or somewhere in between, feels more like a glance towards a content future, despite the burning present we’re all experiencing.

Real stars are the producers behind every track, while #044 simply gives them space to speak.

This selection is just a small portion of one big electro cake. Electronic music continues to grow in beautiful unexpected directions [one of the reasons we all love it], carried by artists constantly redefining sound, giving joy + hope to all of us.

#044 brings together names that resonate most with my current musical curiosity – naturally finding their place inside this new sound journey. Several producers featured here have recently released new work—some even their debut album. I chose the ones that caught my attention and – let’s say – supported my musical idea. They will be featured in a separate review story on unklar.net.
